It's official! Disneyland has announced that it will allow current (and potentially expired) Magic Key holders to renew their passes into one of the four options available.
Magic Key Passes
If you are looking to renew your Magic Key, you will have four options to choose from: Inspire Key, Believe Key, Enchant Key and Imagine Key.
Inspire Key
The Inspire Key is the top tier pass, however unlike its predecessor the Dream Key, it will have some black out dates. The black out dates for this pass run from December 21, 2022 to January 1, 2023. Like it has been since revamping the Annual Passes into Magic Keys, reservations will still be required to visit the parks. The Inspire Key allows you to hold up to 6 reservations at a time, get up to 20% off merchandise, 15% off dining, 20% of Genie+, free PhotoPass downloads and free theme park parking. The cost for this top tier pass is $1,599, which is an increase of $200 from the previous top tier Dream Key.
Believe Key
The Believe Key is the second tier pass and looks very similar to its 2021 counterpart. There are still blackout dates for this pass, including many holidays and some Saturdays in summer. You will need reservations to visit the parks, hold up to 6 reservations at a time, 10% off merchandise and dining, 50% off theme park parking. However, there are some additional perks: 20% off Genie+ and free PhotoPass downloads! The cost for this pass is $1,099, up from $949 in 2021.
Enchant Key
The Enchant Key is the next tier and again, looks similar to the pass from 2021. This pass has more blackout dates than the Believe or Inspire Keys and, of course, reservations are required to visit the parks. You will be allowed to hold up to 4 reservations with this key. Again, Disney is providing a 20% discount on Genie+ for this key, 10% discount for merchandise and dining. However, this pass has now been given a 25% discount for theme park parking! This cost for this pass is $699, up from $649.
Imagine Key
The Imagine Key is the final key and is available only to Southern California residents living in zip codes 90000 to 93599. Again, expect black out dates and needing reservations to visit the parks. This key allows for 2 reservations to be held at a time, 10% off of merchandise and dining. New perks include 20% off Genie+ and 25% theme park parking! The cost for this key is $449, up from $399.

When can I renew?
Renewals will begin on August 18, 2022 and there is the potential for a renewal queue, so be prepared to wait if you are needing to renew soon! Make sure to renew before your Magic Key expires; you will be eligible for renewal 30 days prior to your pass expiring.
Additionally, if you are a Southern California resident, you may qualify for monthly payment options. With the renewal of your Magic Key, you won't have to do a down payment either!
What if my Magic Key already expired?
If you were a Magic Key holder, but your pass expired before Disneyland announced its renewal program, you may be in luck! You will need to call Disney between August 18th and 31st to request a renewal. This is great news for those Magic Key holders whose passes already expired and were worried they wouldn't be eligible for renewal (especially since Disney has not announced if and when it will begin selling Magic Keys again).
